Denmark v Holland

Netherlands got their campaign off to the perfect start today beating Denmark by 31 runs at Arbroath.

Netherlands were put into bat and once again today the openers were dismissed early in the innings with good bowling from Laraib Ahmed taking both wickets. Soon after Netherlands started to find their feet in this game with a Prennen hitting 28, although wickets continued to fall at regular intervals with many batsmen getting set and giving their wicket away to easily. Zulfiqar came in near the end and hit an unbeaten 30, to leave Denmark requiring 148 to win.

The Danish batting struggled to ever get going without any substantial partnerships or individual scores. With Kroesen bowling very well and taking vital wickets of the Danish top order at crucial times in the innings. Denmark where always slightly behind the run rate and finished their innings on 116 for 9, 31 runs behind Netherlands.
